Georgia Forests

To educate students on the history and benefits of Georgia's forestry industry, Georgia Public Broadcasting partnered with The Georgia Forestry Foundation (GFF) to create an interactive, virtual learning experience. Georgia Forests: Virtual Learning Journey is a free classroom resource designed to teach students about forest ecosystems, food webs, wildlife, and forestry career opportunities through interactive games and 360 VR videos.

To usher in the release of this platform, I was tasked with crafting a brand, web presence, and various marketing materials.

The Georgia Forests: Virtual Learning Journey logo uses a combination of Sonder and Avenir Heavy Oblique. This combination of a common sans serif typeface and  an illustrative slab serif allowed for Georgia Forests (the first in a series of virtual learning journeys to come), to have a its own distinct brand while simultaneously setting a template for future productions. The brand colors pair a highly appropriate forest green, and a striking gold to communicate this virtual learning journey as one focused on one of Earth's largest natural resources .
